"Save Teghout" Civic Initiative sent an open letter to the RA Minister of Nature Protection Aramayis Grigoryan offering to participate in the inspections taking place in Teghout Copper Molybdenum Mine. The letter says:
"Dear Mr. Grigoryan,
The environmental NGOs and residents of the impacted community applied to the court demanding from the Ministry of Nature Protection to oblige to do inspections. After the court session on June 12 we received a letter from the Ministry that within the period from June 14 until August 04 ispections will be realized in Teghout mine.
In this open letter we offer our participation in the inspections taking into account the fact that as a result of the diligent work of Save Teghout Initiative which lasted for years, substantial evidences were acquired on legal basis namely that Teghout mine operation is realized with gross violations of the legislation of the Republic of Armenia and provisions of international agreements (see the legal document at http://teghut.am/legal-processes-teghut/))".
