Armenian And Russian Eco-activists Cleaned Hrazdan Gorge from Garbage

On April 23, garbage equivalent to three full trucks was removed from the Hrazdan gorge by the efforts of Armenian and Russian eco-activists. Under the slogan "We are all the inhabitants of the planet", Russian and Armenian eco-activists who arrived in Armenia with the aim of making Yerevan cleaner have initiated garbage collection actions. About 80 people collected dozens of bags of plastic, glass, household waste and scrap metal in 1.5 hours. The collected waste is pre-sorted to facilitate further recycling.

A group of Yerevan eco-activists and Telegram channel have been set up to join and unite citizens concerned about the capital's environmental problems. Activists are preparing to launch such clean-up activities every week. The first meeting was also attended by Deputy Environment Minister Anna Mazmanyan.

The next meeting is scheduled for a week on April 30. By the way, that day has already been officially announced as the first national cleaning day for 2022.
