Yerevan Mayor Proposes to Increase Amount of Fine for Dumping Garbage in Undefined Place

Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan proposes to reconsider the amount of the fine for dumping garbage in an undefined place. According to the official website of Yerevan Municipality, Yerevan Mayor stated that severe sanctions should be imposed on those who dump garbage in an undefined place. "It was instructed to study and submit a proposal to review the amount of the fine provided by Code of Administrative Offenses," the official statement says.

Information Department of Yerevan Municipality informed EcoLur that the mayor proposes to multiply the already established fine at least several times.

Fine for dumping garbage in undefined area at present

Currently, the amount of the fine for dumping garbage in a place not defined by RA Code on Administrative Offenses ranges from 20,000 to 300,000 AMD.
