Administrative liability will be imposed for burning waste in landfill sites. Standing Committee of RA National Assembly on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environmental Protection Issues issued a positive opinion to "Amending RA Law on Atmospheric Air Protection" at the session on held October 19, the package of draft laws "On Amendments and Addenda to RA Code on Administrative Offenses" and "On Amendments and Addenda to RA Tax Code".
The legislative package envisages administrative responsibility for burning production or consumption waste in waste management facilities or in specially designated places or in unlicensed landfills.
