The Nubarashen Landfill Site is burning again. Smoke rising from the landfill site can be seen from various parts of the city.
On September 15, an alert was circulated that a fire had once again broken out at the Nubarashen Landfill Site. According to the news website www.shamshyan.com, several firefighting units of Yerevan’s fire-rescue brigades were involved in extinguishing the blaze.
According to Factor.am, the fire covered an area of about 700 sq. m.
There is no information about the fire at the landfill site on the official websites of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Yerevan Municipality.
Reminder: at a press conference held on September 15, Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized the urgency of conserving the Nubarashen Landfill Site.
