The project of “Armenian Molybdenum Production” LLC, “On Issuing Licenses for Processing, Neutralization, Preservation, Transportation and Disposal of Hazardous Wastes” will be discussed at the governmental meeting on 8 November. This issue was already discussed on 16 May, at the meeting of the interdepartmental committee, and in the course of public discussions at Nature Protection Ministry on 30 August.
The documents say, “The company presented proof of security conditioned by the use of ammonium in the technology of waste reprocessing containing molybdenum. The total content of the ammonium is 15 tons. ” The minutes of the discussion at the ministry says about the content of 21 tons of molybdenum oxide in the wastes.
It should be mentioned that “Armenian Molybdenum Production” LLC is the holder of 12.5% shares of Zangezour copper and molybdenum combine with the assets of Qajaran mine.
