On 21 October a pan-Armenian cleaning day will be held: at the Cabinet meeting held on 12 October Armenian PM Karen Karapetyan assigned Territorial Governance and Development Minister David Loqyan to ensure the implementation of preparatory measures aimed at the organization of the third pan-Armenian cleaning day and to be persistent in the proper implementation and schedule of the program. Speaking about “Clean Armenia” project, the Armenian Prime Minister particularly said, ‘1574 out of 2029 landfill sites recorded as of 3 October 2017 have been cleaned or conserved. A legislative package directed at the regulation of garbage collection and sanitary cleaning and enforcement of liability measures have been developed and submitted to the National Assembly.’
