September 18 is World Water Monitoring Day. It was defined by the American Clean Water Foundation (ACWF) in 2003. The goal is to raise public awareness of the importance of protecting water resources worldwide by engaging people in basic monitoring of local water bodies.
Surface and underground water pollution is a serious problem both in the world and in Armenia today, and it is important to know what water we use, how clean our rivers and lakes are, what pollutants and harmful substances are present in fresh water sources. The answers to these questions are given by "Hayhydromet" SNCO of Environment Ministry.
