

On March 12, the second meeting of the International Scientific-Public Environmental Council (Eco-Council) of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries took place in Moscow. The representatives from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia participated in the event.
The aim of the newly established council is to create a sustainable scientific and technical platform, develop joint initiatives for environmental protection, and strengthen scientific cooperation between the EAEU member states.
During the meeting, the representatives from research institutes and public organizations of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan delivered speeches. Kristine Ter-Matevosyan, a representative of "EcoLur" Informational NGO from Armenia, participated in the meeting. The topics of the speeches were related to cross-border environmental issues, water resource management, the formation of a unified ecological space in the EAEU countries, and collaboration.
