The Getik River flows in Gegharkounik and Tavush Regions; it’s the right tributary to the Aghstev River. Its length is 48 km, and the catchment area is 581 sq. km. It starts from the springs on the north-west slopes of Qashatagh peak at a height of 2450 meters and flows north west.
As of 1 Jenuary 2014, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee, the following SHPPs are constructed on this river:
- “Erik” SHPP operated by “Erik SHPP” LLC, derivation length – 200 meters, 1850 meters (2050 meters),
- “Getik-1” SHPP operated by “Ariyo Energy” LLC, derivation length – 6200 meters.
As of 1 Jenuary 2013, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee, "Getik 4" SHPP is constructed on this river. The SHPP operated by “ANDG Style” LLC, derivation length –5200 meters.
