The year 2010 was rich with weather abnormalities. In winter the temperature was above norm by 5-7 degrees whereas sediments were below the norm. Trees blossomed untimely due to warm weather and were damaged by frosts. The spring weather was not stable either. Sediments were 2-3fold above norm and plants suffered from fungous diseases, Zaruhi Petrosyan, Head of the Operative Hydrometeorology Center at the Armenian State Hydrometeorology Center, told media. In 2010 summer was hot and the temperature was 38/39C within 10 days and 40/41C within 2 days. As regards autumn, it was very dry. In November and December no sediments were recorded, which was an unprecedented phenomenon for Armenia.
