On January 11, 2022, the draft of a new water use permit for the intake from Arpa River for Amulsar gold-bearing quartzite mining did not take place: as EcoLur was informed by Environment Ministry no such project is being developed at the moment.
It should be noted that on January 5, an announcement was posted on the website of Environment Ministry that a draft permit for a new water intake from the Arpa River for 41.3 l/s for industrial development of gold quartzite mine by Lydian Armenia CJSC Amulsar is being developed.
Environment Ministry refused to comment on why such a statement was posted on the ministry's website in that case.
