“Fidelity Consulting” Law Firm, a legal consultant of Lydian Armenia CJSC, posted a statement on Facebook, which says the company won Lydian Armenia vs. Tehmine Yenoqyan case, a public figure and journalist, a resident of Gndevaz village, Vayots Dzor Region.
In its lawsuit, Lydian Armenia CJSC demanded that the court oblige Tehmine Yenoqyan to deny the statements made during the live broadcast on her personal Facebook page on Jermuk's drinking hall on August 12, 2018, to confiscate 1 million AMD compensation from her. According to the statement of the law firm, the claim was partially upheld.
"Fidelity Consulting" Law Firm informs that on December 15, 2021, RA Court of First Instance of Ararat and Vayots Dzor Regions reached a decision in the favour of "Lydian Armenia" CJSC against the slander by Tehmine Yenokyan, which obliges the respondent to publicly deny the information that was considered as a slander against "Lydian Armenia" CJSC during a live broadcast on her personal Facebook page on August 12, 2018 in the drinking hall of Jermuk Town,” the company statement says.
The judgment in this case has not been published in "Datalex" judicial information system, although more than 1 month has passed since the date mentioned by "Fidelity Consulting".
Tehmine Yenoqyan's lawyer Nina Hakobyan told EcoLur that she and her client had not been present at the court hearing and had not yet received the court ruling. The court found out that Lydian Armenia's request was upheld by Fidelity Consulting. They learned about the court ruling in favour of Lydian Armenia from the statement disseminated by “Fidelity Consulting” Law Firm.
"Once we receive the court ruling, we will discuss our steps with the client and file a complaint with Appeal Court. There is no problem with the deadline for appealing. Unless the judgment appears in Datalex system, there will be no deadline set," Nina Hakobyan said.
Numerous hearings have been held on this case since 2018. The case was first heard by Judge Sergey Sahakyan at Masis Town Court of First Instance of Ararat and Vayots Dzor Regions. In April 2020, Judge Sergey Sahakyan was transferred to Court of First Instance of RA Yerevan Town, the case was "redistributed" and signed by Judge Henrik Darbinyan.
