"Lidian Armenia" CJSC applied to RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure (TAI) with a request to extend the period of soil management right by 3 years, 5 months and 20 days, RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Hovhannes Harutyunyan informed in response to EcoLur's inquiry dated on September 6, 2022.
The letter addressed to EcoLur says: "We inform you that “Lidian Armenia" closed joint stock company has applied to RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure with letter No. H/A-2022/25 dated on 06.07.2022 to extend the term of the soil management right by 3 years, 5 months and 20 days. The company presented the project with the amended schedule and the substantiations regarding the elimination of force majeure. At the same time, we inform you that the abovementioned letter of "Lydian Armenia" CJSC is being discussed at TAI.
Thus, "Lydian Armenia" CJSC is the first and still the only company that has benefited from the amendments made in RA Law "On Amendments and Addenda to Mining Code".
Reminder: on June 18, RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan signed RA Law "On Amendments and Addenda to Mining Code", whereas its Article 55.1 provides for the extension of the right to soil management in the event of force majeure fires, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes or other natural disasters, on the basis of explosions, war, terrorism, civil war, including civil disobedience.
