Arkadi Mkrtchyan is the General Manager at “Ecofarm” farm: he says they have already imported 330 cows from Germany, process milk and make cheese and intend to expand their production in future.
This ecologically clean plant is located next to Amulsar gold mine. They can’t make use of the Alpine fields, as the areas have already been selected by Geoteam Company, and they bring in grass from Artsakh and Kapan. They even don’t imagine how they will combine livestock keeping, dairy production with heap leaching and open pit gold mining.
