

EcoLur
Amberd (Ampur, Ampert) river flows in Aragatsotn Region. It rises from the southern slopes of Aragats Mountain and joins Kasagh near Amberd Village on the right. Its length is 36 km, its catchment area is 141 km.
As of 1 January 2014, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee and the main indicators of small hydro power plants operated by hydropower companies, the following SHPPs are constructed on this river:
- “Amberd SHPP-1” SHPP operated by “Amberd HPP” LLC, derivation length – 2300 meters,
- “Amberd SHPP-2” SHPP operated by “Amberd HPP” LLC, derivation length – 4218 meters.
As of 1 Jenuary 2013, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee, "Amberd SHPP-3" SHPP is being constructed on this river. The SHPP operated by “Amberd HPP” LLC, derivation length –2835.1 meters,
The SHPPs pipe a total river area of 9353․1 meters, which makes up 25․9808333% of the river.
Under EcoLur’s Ecological Risk Model, this indicator is within standards.
