A certain Hrant Hambartsumyan demands AMD 2,000 (about ) from the tourists wishing to visit the Stone Symphony monument in Garni.
Environmentalists sent a letter and a video to Tert.am.
The monument has been turned into a dump, and individuals demand money from tourists wishing to visit the monument that is protected by the government. "The ministries in charge must respond," says the letter.
Aware of their rights, the tourists refused to pay. However, Mr. Hambartsumyan demands that the tourists leave their food. "If you take food, then you do not visit the monument, but plan a rest. You must pay for that," he says. He also says that he cleans the territory free of charge.
The Stone Symphony monument in Garni is a government-protected monument.
