The amount of industrial whitefish hunting in Lake Sevan will be increased by another 300 tons to 600 tons, and the hunting period will be extended until November 20. The executive reached this decision at the session held on August 24, 2022.
The rationale of the decision says that the need to make amendments stems from the need to regulate the process of industrial fishing for whitefish in Lake Sevan, which started on March 1, 2022. In particular, the reason is that the specified 300-ton quota was almost completely caught after signing the contracts with the fishermen.
