On November 16, 2022, 75 illegal crawfish catchers were taken out of the lake and confiscated as a result of supervisory measures carried out by the special purpose squad of "Sevan" National Park, as RA Environment Ministry informs.
According to the press release, only the industrial hunting of whitefish is allowed in Lake Sevan and the permissible quantities of crawfish hunting are not defined according to the decision of the government. The hunting tools taken out of the lake are on the list of prohibited hunting tools.
