Back in 2015, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) initiated "Promotion of Eco-Corridors in the Southern Caucasus" project, through which local communities are actively involved in the establishment and maintenance of "ecological corridors". These corridors are important areas for biodiversity conservation as they 'connect' specially protected areas of nature, providing a number of migration routes for red-listed animals and being their important habitats.
On October 13-14, a course was held in Dilijan for a number of NGOs participating in the second phase of the program launched this year. It is implemented in conjunction with another initiative of WWF-Armenia - "Living Landscapes for Market Development in Armenia".
The projects are implemented in Debet, Margahovit, Yeghegnut of Gugark community, Ahnidzor, Dsegh, Lorut, Marts of Tumanyan community in Pambak Region, Shaghat, Shaghat Community in Syunik Region, Hermon, Shatin, Yeghegis of Yeghegis community in Vayots Dzor Region, Gosh, Haghartsin, Teghut of Dilijan community, in the area of Sevqar, Yenokavan settlements of Ijevan community in Tavush region.

The training was attended by "NGO Center" from Lori Region, "Dilijan Youth Cooperation Center" in Tavush Region, "Work and Homeland" Territorial Development NGO from Vayots Dzor Region, "Shahaponk" NGO from Syunik Region, which are within the framework of financial participatory approach measures within the framework of the project, and "EcoLur" NGO.
