To keep wild animals in free or semi-free conditions, you must obtain permission before April 1

Legal or natural persons keeping wild animals in unfree or semi-free conditions will be obliged to apply to the authorized body for a permit to keep animals. Environment Ministry has tabled with a new legislative initiative, which will regulate and control the process of keeping wild animals kept in unfree and semi-free conditions, including red-listed animals in Armenia. The project is available on the website www.e-draft.am for publication of drafts of legal acts.

According to the legislative regulations, legal or natural persons keeping wild animals in unfree or semi-free conditions, regardless of the existence of a document confirming the acquisition of the given wild animal, are obliged to apply to the authorized body until April 1, 2023, in order to provide information about the wild animals kept in their possession, after the approval of the order to receive the permit to keep them.
