Environmental Impacts on Human Health Discussed in Yerevan

On 11 September 2026, a conference entitled “Impact of Environment on Human Health”, organised by Innovate Armenia, was held in Yerevan.

The event brought together experts from the environmental protection and healthcare sectors, highlighting the direct link between the environment and human health. Representatives of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia also attended the event.

During the conference, speakers presented their professional experience and observations, addressing air and water quality, health risks associated with environmental factors, public and digital health, renewable energy, and their impacts on human well-being.

The speakers included Dr Viken Ohannesyan, Founder and CEO of Vickino and President of the Armenian Association of Digital Health (AADH); Gayane Gabrielyan, former Deputy Minister of Environment and environmental expert; Philip Hohenblum, Deputy Head of the Surface Waters Expert Team at the Austrian Environment Agency; Norayr Dumoyan, Founder and CEO of Volta and Founder of Ucar Motors; Dr Lamara Manukyan, therapist, cardiologist and Doctor of Medicine (MD); and Alla Aleksanyan, an expert in biodiversity, environmental policy and governance.
