Armash settlement in Ararat Region will participate in the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17), presenting the community’s rich biodiversity, nature conservation challenges, and development opportunities.
In the COP17 Green Zone, the Armash initiative group will take part in “Communities as Biodiversity Conservationists and Sustainable Users,” an event organised by EcoLur.
Ahead of COP17, EcoLur held an awareness-raising meeting in Armash with the participation of community representatives and residents. During the meeting, the participants discussed the conservation of Armash’s natural areas and biodiversity, as well as opportunities for developing ecotourism and agrotourism, and a working group was established.
