Remodel Object in Gilan or Dismantle? That’s The Question

The question what to do with the constructed object in the territory of Gilan in Khosrov Forest concerns not only public, but also officials. Reminder: The Armenian Government revoked its decision dated in 2007 on lowering the status of Gilan section in “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve. Nevertheless, the further two decisions – on the leasing of 118 ha land area and its further development are not revoked. A question arises: what to do with the building, which resembles an entertainment center under all parameters. As it became known, the official bodies have considered the decision to remake this building to a scientific base, and probably, pass to the National Academy of Sciences. The proposal was discussed at the meeting of the Alliance for Public Environmental Organizations, which raised the issue of Gilan before the country leaders. Most participants expressed their opinion that the law defying all three government decisions in 2007 must be recovered, and consequently, the building should be dismantled.
