How Much Rest in “Dilijan” National Park Costs? (Photos)

EcoLur

Resting season is open: these days the pavilions constructed within forests on the way to Haghartsin Monastery are full of holiday makers. EcoLur’s working group was in “Dilijan” National Park. The price for one pavilion was from 8000 AMD to 25000 AMD. Near one of the pavilions we found stubs of felled trees, and while going up in the forest we found more stubs (watch the photo report). The forest was in smoke due to traditional barbecue. Cars were driving up and down the road, to cut short, there was an impression that it would be impossible to have a rest in nature and to breathe in fresh air. There was an impression that the city was transferred to the forest.

Even birds singing couldn’t be heard under Armenian rabiz music. On one hand, there some conditions for holiday makers and the territory is guarded. On the other hand, to what extent such active tourism complies with the regime of “Dilijan” National park and park biodiversity. The problem is that new kind of tourism occupies more and more territories in “Dilijan” National park.
