The Bee Eater, a bird species, has disappeared from Gegharkounik Village, Gegharkounik Region, as «Azhdahak» Ecoclub working in Secondary School of Gegharkounik Village informed EcoLur. The disappearance of this bird species is conditioned with the use of pesticides and fertilizers in agriculture.
On 14 March in the frames of 'Towards Spring' event the alumni of «Azhdahak» Ecoclub made 16 feedings and nests and put them on the trees. After putting them on the trees the puils were carrying out monitoring to see what kind of bird species there were in the village and how they behave. 'Such measures help the children to boost children's care towards nature and fauna,' the coordinator said.
