The animal lovers are demanding to suspend RA Law “On Local Duties and Mandatory Fees” laying down annual duty for keeping pets. In this regard, a signature collection has been launched on change.org to suspend the law. The call of animal lovers addressed to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, PM Hovik Abrahamyan and Yerevan Mayor Taorn Margaryan says, “We are demanding to suspend RA Law “On Local Duties and Mandatory Fees” laying down annual duty for keeping pets.
Article 10(7) of RA Law “On Local Duties and Mandatory Fees” has laid down duty of 5000 AMD per year for keeping pets in Yerevan City and urban communities.
