On November 3 of this year, RA government approved "Climate Change Adaptation Program in Sector of Water Resources for 2022-2026 ".
According to the document, as a result of the reduction of water resources due to the impact of climate change, taking the same amount of water can lead to the violation of the environmental flow and the balance of water ecosystems, as well as the deterioration of the state of biodiversity.
The impact of climate change is also significant on the Lake Sevan basin.
The preliminary cost estimate for the implementation of 26 priority measures of the program makes up around 51.3 billion AMD.
