Water intake from the dead volumes of Azat and Aparan reservoirs will be carried out in order to alleviate the shortage of irrigation water caused by the lack of water in Armenia. The relevant resolution was adopted at the meeting of the executive on September 14, 2023.
According to this resolution, "Jrar" CJSC was allowed to take water volumes from 9.2 million cubic dead volume of Azat reservoir to 5 million cubic meters and from 10 million cubic dead volume of Aparan reservoir to 4 million cubic meters.
