The network of public journalists initiated by "EcoLur" Informational NGO is expanding to include new regions. On February 9-10, 2024, a course on "Make your settlement known" was held in Dsegh settlement, Lori Region, for residents of Sevkar of Tavush Region and Dsegh, Marts and Yeghegnut settlements of Lori Region. It was implemented within the framework of LILA project. Reminder: EcoLur has also organized such a course for active residents of Shatin, Vernashen, Gladzor, Artabyunk and Shaghat settlements in Vayots Dzor Region, Armenia. All these settlements are the beneficiary settlements of LILA project.
Within the framework of the training, the participants received knowledge about the features of public journalism, were informed about the goals of LILA project and the activities implemented in the communities within the framework of the project. In their turn, the participants presented community problems, development opportunities, discussed topics, on which they wrote short informative materials.
The participants joined the information platform of newly created public journalists, where they will publish the materials they prepared. These materials will become available to the general public after the open launch of the platform. At the end of the course, the participants received certificates.
