According to the forecasts of the European Center for Medium-Term Weather Forecasts, a higher than normal thermal background is predicted for our region by 8-10 degrees above normal on February 12-19, by 3-6 degrees from February 19 to March 18, by 1- 3 degrees on March 18-25, as "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" of RA Environment Ministry informs.
A number of regions in the Republic of Armenia have already recorded unprecedented high temperatures for several days due to the intrusion of a tropical warm air wave.
On February 12, the temperature reached +22 degrees during the daytime in Syunik valleys, Tavush, +17 degrees in Lori, +16 degrees in Ararat and the foothills of Vayots Dzor.
