Syunik-based “Union for Protection of Employees’ Rights” NGO President Arthur Ghazaryan has sent an enquiry to Nature Protection Minister Aramayis Grigoryan and “Lydian International” Company, which is going to develop the mine. In his letter Arthur Ghazaryan asks,
‘1. What are the legal ground and which procedures were used to determine the list of project affected communities located in Amusar mining impact zone?
2. What kind of methodological handbooks were used for guidance by “Environmental Expertise” SNCO to implement the expertise of the EIA of Amulsar mining project?
3. Particularly which components of environment underwent expertise by “Environmental Expertise” SNCO?
4. What kind of initial data were used by “Environmental Expertise” SNCO for expertise?
5. Please provide the data of morphological and ecochemical research of the residual substrates in the river basins of Arpa, Darb, Vorotan Rivers and their brooklets located in the immediate impact of Amulsar mine and the data of EIA expertise opinion on their impact,
6. The data of the expertise opinion on impacting human health,
7. Research and evaluations on the chemical composition of crops, wild berries and vegetables used by people in the impact zone of Amulsar mining, as well as the data of the expertise opinion on the impact of quality and quantity of these plants.”
