EcoLur has received the reply of Nature Protection Ministry on the tree felling carried out next to Yeghegis River in the administrative area of Hermon village, Vayots Dzor Region.
Reminder:
On 17 October 2015 EcoLur's camera fixed the stubs of hundreds of felled down trees next to the Yeghegis River and in this regard sent a request to Nature Protection Ministry. Acting Head of Staff of the Ministry Khazhak Aghabekyan says in his reply, 'The land area located in the administrative area of Hermon village, Vayots Dzor Region, are owned by Armen Sargsyan. After its privatization In 2004 Canadian poplar trees were planted in this area with the purpose of their further felling. From September 2014 to now on only poplar trees have been cut down. The felled down trees are not located in the protective zone of the Yeghegis River.'
