Today Police Detained Another Two Displeased People

Today, on 31 October, a group of citizens have gathered in front of the Yerevan Municipality to take part in the meeting of the Aldermen’s Council and raise the issued they are concerned with, particularly the problem of corruption in Armenia and the transportation fare. Nevertheless, the policemen didn’t permit to go in, while the Municipality representative said they were disturbing the regular work of the Municipality. “This is not a country to live in, we are leaving for Tbilisi to be able to survive,” a family leaving for Tbilisi was complaining. Two people were detained during the clash between the policemen and the citizen. “In the past people were not detained for peaceful demonstrations and the freedom of speech. What has changed?”
