

Within the framework of the construction project of "Ayg-1" solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 200 MW, "Masdar" company, in accordance with the donation agreement signed with Dashtadem and Talin Communities in Aragatsotn Region, made a payment of 320,000,000 AMD for community development., as the State Interests Fund of Armenia informs.
According to the report, the donation is part of the social investment commitment undertaken by "Masdar" Company. The donated money will be fully directed to the implementation of economic and social programs in the communities defined by the signed contract, in accordance with the best standards of international corporate social responsibility practice.
The project is implemented by a joint venture established by Masdar Company, the United Arab Emirates, and the State Interests Fund of Armenia.
Reminder: by the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia 1777-N October 28, within the framework of "Ayg-1" program, the Government of the Republic of Armenia invested in the statutory capital of the State Interest Fund of Armenia at the value of 822,084,793 AMD 377.4 hectares of land owned.
"Ayg-1" solar photovoltaic station will be built in the territory of Talin and Dashtadem communities. Although the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia does not state in which communities the 377.4 hectare land is located, it is obvious that it is about Talin and Dashtadem. It turns out that the communities receive inadequate compensation for the land plots with a cadastral value of 822,084,793 AMD.
Reminder: RA government was considering taking 520 hectares of land as a donation for the implementation of the program by the decision 1922-L dated on December 26, 2019.
The cost of "Ayg 1" project is $ 174 million. The State Interest Fund of Armenia has a 15% share in the project. The solar station is planned to be put into operation in 2025.
