Copper, molybdenum, gold, zinc, silver, rare metals… What brings the wealth of Armenian soil to the people who are directly affected with open mines, tailings dumps and processing enterprises? The EITI is a platform where direct dialogue between civil society, government and business is possible.
EcoLur’s new film, "Who Our Soil WEALTH Serves", proposes to hear the voices of those who are interested in doing business and the government take action to address the socio-environmental situation of six major mining communities. People talk about piled-up problems that require urgent solution.
This film has been shot within “Mining-Impacted Communities – Full Participants in EITI Process'” project implemented by EcoLur with the USAID support within the frames of “Engaged Citizenry for Responsible Governance” project implemented by Transparency International Anticorruption Center.
This film is made possible by the generous support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
