By the joint order of Minister of Environment, Economy Minister and Minister of Territorial Administration, the list of communities/settlements in the immediate vicinity of forests that receive the privilege of obtaining free firewood for non-production purposes has been supplemented.
According to the official statement of Environment Ministry, the firewood is provided free of charge to the residents of all settlements laid down in the order, if there is a sufficient amount of firewood in the nearby deforestation. The residents of forest communities/settlements in 8 regions - Lori, Tavush, Kotayk, Syunik, Syunik, Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor laid down in the list are allowed to obtain free-of-charge firewood up to 8 sq.m from the relevant forestry branches of "ArmForest" SNCO.
