In the period of October 25-30, 2021, 6 criminal cases were sent to Court of First Instance in Lori Region for substantive examination of the case of 3 forest managers and 3 foresters of the forestry branches of "ArmForest" SNCO. The criminal cases were initiated on the charges brought under the features of Article 315 (2) of RA Criminal Code.
The above-mentioned officials were accused of negligent attitude towards their service, did not fulfill their duties, did not regularly visit their entrusted units, did not draw up minutes on visits, did not find or record any illegal activities or cut down trees.
As a result, 346 illegally cut trees of different diameters were found in their control zones, as a result of which a particularly large amount of damage of 37 million AMD was caused to nature, as RA Prosecutor's Office informs.
