Two cases of illegal timber transportation were discovered by the employees of Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body, as Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body informs. On February 8, 2 "ZIL" cars were inspected on suspicion of transporting illegal timber in Abovyan Town, Kotayk Region. The drivers did not submit the relevant documents certifying the authenticity of the purchase of 8.5 cubic meters and 11 cubic meters of wood found in the cars. The amount of compensation for the damage to the environment constituted 702,000 AMD.
