In this regard, Stepanavan Aarhus Center Coordinator Manya Meliqjanyan has applied to Hrayr Hovivyan, 'Stepanavan Road Development and Construction' LLC. The latter informed that the pruning of the poplars was carried out based on the letter by Communications and Transportation Ministry and the proper permit of Nature Protection Ministry. 'The pruning was drastically necessary, as the mentioned trees were planted in 1953, and now they pose danger for environment,' Hrayr Hovivyan said.
