We are presenting the official data on the most urgent issues in forest sector. As the presentation made by Chief Forester and Deputy Director of “ArmForest” SNCO Ruben Petrosyan shows, starting from 2010 almost half of the budget of this organization is formed at the expense of timber sale. According to “ArmForest” SNCO, the volume of officially recorded illegal felling has reduced and in 2015 it made up less than 30,000 cubic meters per year as compared with 75,000 cubic meters in 2000.
The dynamic of reforestation works have minimal since 2009. Meanwhile the dynamic of realizing timber complies with the practical volume of legal felling, where the majority is fuel wood. What about the fallen deadwood, its volumes stable fluctuate at 50,000-52,000 cubic meters per year during the recent 2 years.
