RA Nature Protection Ministry won't provide a water use permit for the re-operation of Litchq copper mine to "Tatstone" LLC till conducting inspections in the company: Head of Water Resources Management Agency of RA Nature Protection Ministry informed Meghri community residents in his letter.

'In reply to your letter dated on 4 February 2019, I would like to inform that all the issues raised by you in regard to the claim submitted by "Tatstone" LLC to receive a water use permit have been properly examined and submitted to Environmental and Mining Inspection Body in the set procedure to carry out proper examinations. At the same time, I would like to inform that "Tatstone" LLC won't be issued a water use permit unless the Nature Protection Ministry receives information about the findings of these inspections,' Edgar Pirumyan's letter says.

Reminder: Meghri community residents have sent 2 letters to RA Nature Protection Minister Erik Grigoryan demanding to reject the the claim submitted by "Tatstone" LLC to receive a water use permit for the water intake from the Ayrijur Tributary to the Meghri River and to annul the positive opinion issued to the company for Litchq copper mining in 2015. Nevertheless, there is no reply from the ministry in this regard.
