A large number of dead fish has been found in the Dzoraget Tributary to the Chqnagh River, Lori Region, as “Lore EcoClub” NGO President Manya Meliqjanyan is beating an alarm signal on her FB page. “The residents of Stepanavan Town have beaten an alarm signal to “Lore EcoClub” NGO telling that the state of the Dzoraget River located near the town is getting worse day by day. Armanis gold-polymetallic mine has poisoned the 2-kilometer-long area of the Dzoraget River, where the locals found a large number of the dead fish. The plant is not operating, anyway, it still a disaster for our Lori world. The residents have spoken about the public monitoring of the operations of this business entity for many years. In order to solve the aforementioned problem, “Lore EcoClub” NGO has called the hot line of Ministry of Environment to condemn and punish this vandalism and to hold the representatives of competent bodies liable,” the alarm signal says.
