Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine CJSC will provide 80 million AMD for capital and ongoing projects in Kapan community. According to the official website of the Kapan municipality, the agreement was reached between Kapan community head Gevorg Parsyan and ZCMC CEO Mher Poloskov.
To recap, the mayor of Kapan signed a memorandum of social and economic cooperation on June 6 with David Tovmasyan, the general director of "Chaarat Kapan" CJSC. According to the memorandum, " Chaarat Kapan " CJSC will allocate 100 million drams for the construction of a pre-school educational facility being built at 16 Miners' address.
The financial support of mining companies to the Kapan community is not accidental. Kapan is located under the impact of Qajaran Copper and Molybdenum Mine operated by Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine and under the impact of Shahumyan Gold-Polymetallic Mine and Kapan Ore Dressing Combine operated by Chaarat Kapan.
