Miners at Akhtala Ore Processing Plant (OPC) located in Akhtala Community, Lori Region, are on strike demanding improvement of social conditions. The miners have raised, in particular, wage increase, provision of uniforms, improved nutrition and other social requirements. Lori regional administration is aware of the conflict between Akhtala OPC and the miners. Lori Regional Head Andrei Ghukasyan will, most probably, meet with strike participants on February 13.
