On January 20, 2021, the second public hearings were held in Katnaghbyur settlement in Stepanavan Community on the request for preliminary environmental impact assessment of geological prospecting within the limits of colored rocks and gold ores of Arjidzor mineral field in Lori region.
"Av Mining" LLC intends to carry out mining activities. The requested area occupies an area of 407.5 hectares, within which the company intends to explore, assess, and calculate gold and gem reserves. The geological works will be carried out by means of slip extraction, surface mountain drilling, and sampling.
