Early in 2011 “Fortune Oil” Chinese Company disseminated a statement about obtaining 3 iron-ore mines in Armenia.
In reply to NEWS.am’s enquiry Energy and Natural Resources Ministry of Armenia gave the following explanation: “In reply to your questions about three iron-ore mines in Armenia we inform Hrazdan Mine belongs to “Nagin” Company, while mines in Abovyan and Svarabts are owned by “Spice Steel Armenia” CJSC.
We inform recently right to the abovementioned mines hasn’t been transferred to other companies.”
