On April 8 we send an enquiry to Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisyan with a request to provide information on the following issue: "When and which company was issued a license for gold mine prospecting located in Halidzor Community, Syunik Region? When and how long for “Nagin” Company was issued a license for iron ore mine development in Hrazdan Town, Kotayk Region?”
The appropriate department of Energy and Natural Resources Ministry could give answers to our questions in five minutes. Nevertheless, only after 11 days we received the following reply from Ministry Staff Head: “We would like to inform you all the information concerning the right to soil management in the territory of the Republic of Armenia is centralized in the register of the Agency for Soil Management of Energy and Natural Resources Ministry. This register is open to public and your employees can make use of it as prescribed by the Armenian legislation.”
