'Environmental Expertise' SNCO of Nature Protection Ministry has issued a positive opinion to the construction project of Arjut Gold Ore Processing Plant with sodium cyanide. Arjut mine and ore processing plant will be develooped by 'Baktek Eco' LLC.
Arjut Gold Ore Processing Plant will be constructed within the administrative borders in Arjut community, Lori Region, not far from Arjut mine. It will be located in a distance of 17 km from Vanadzor Town.
The plant will annually process 100,000 tons of ore with sodium cyanide, the final product will be doré metal.
2,231,300 tons of Arjut ore contains 3080.9 kg of gold, 17.64 tons of silver and 6821 tons of copper, while 192,400 tons of oxidized ore contains 386.50 kg of gold and 2.75 tons of silver. According to the project, the surface of the sodium cyanide warehouse will make up 270 cum, it will store up to 50 tons of sodium cyanide, while the plant will annually need 150 tons of sodium cyanide.
Water supply for technical and drinking purposes will be carried out from the general network. The estimated expenses of circulating water will annually make 14700 m3. As a result of intended activites, substances of 2-4 hazard class will be emitted into atmosphere, which will annually make up b17.72 tons per year.
