The government must recognize its decision N 627 dated on 28 April 2011 null and void, which assigns the land areas of five villages in Syunik Region to Zangezour Copper and Molybdenum Combine. Such a viewpoint was expressed by NGOs, public and youth initiative, the “Heritage” party and individuals. The authorities still don’t respond adequately to the outburst of activities in Qajaran Village, and in fact, doesn’t offer solutions. This can be concluded from the official statement on the negotiations between government working group with ZCMC on the issue of Qajaran Village. Nevertheless, activity and involvement of new people and groups who support Qajaran witness that it wouldn’t be simple to soft-pedal the issue.
